What is the name "Regenbogen"

The name Regenbogen (rainbow) symbolizes diversity, acceptance and cohesion.

As colorful and diverse as a rainbow — that’s the people we transport every day. Each color represents the individuality, unique needs, and personality of every passenger.

Our history since 1976

1976

Founded as a taxi company

Hans-Joachim Krumm founded the cab company in the Detmerode district of Wolfsburg.

1978 - 1983

School transport

Our school transport services for the city of Wolfsburg began in 1978. Just a year later, we expanded to serve our first passengers in the district of Gifhorn. In 1982, we won our first public tender from the district of Helmstedt for the Moorkämpeschule in Vorsfelde. One year later, the Friedrich-von-Schiller School opened — and we’ve been providing transportation there since day one.

Transport by coach

In 1985, we expanded our fleet with coaches. 7 years later, we withdrew from this sector.

1998

Moving past the taxi company

After 22 years, the cab company came to an end as demand for school transportation continued to rise.

Moving to Tappenbeck

The Hans-Joachim Krumm school bus company moves to Tappenbeck in the joint municipality of Boldecker Land, district of Gifhorn.

Becoming Regenbogen Car Service GmbH

Schulbusbetrieb Hans-Joachim Krumm becomes Regenbogen Fahrdienst GmbH. The rainbow in the company name symbolizes the different people we transport every day. It is particularly important to us to make transportation reliable, safe and inclusive for everyone.

2022

Moving to the Heinenkamp II

The foundation stone for our modern depot in the Heinenkamp II industrial estate was laid in the fall of 2020. The move took place in the spring of 2022, with vehicle re-registration completed a year later.

Vehicle re-registration

As of 2023, our new buses run with the WOB license plate. The vehicles already registered will retain the GF license plate. The R for Regenbogen or RF for Regenbogen Fahrdienst remains.
